The build-up to a Reading FC kit launch is like filling in a tax return; it’s far too drawn out, it should have been done weeks ago, and despite knowing what to expect, you’re still left saying: “HOW MUCH??”
This season was worse than usual. As for timing, the home kit was finally launched on 28th July, meaning Reading took up their usual position as being one of the back markers in the race to get their new clobber out for the new campaign. As for knowing what to expect, those computer whizzkids on X had correctly guessed that manufacturer Macron would not go beyond their templates, so their mock-ups turned out to be pretty accurate.
