Following a first half that lacked cutting edge, Reading showed their class in the second half of their third pre-season friendly of the summer, as goals from Tyler Sackey and Jacob Brown secured a 2-0 win over National League side Woking.
Under the hot Surrey sun, manager Leam Richardson gave an hour to the starting XI, up from 45 minutes in the previous outings against Farnborough and Getafe, before the fresher legs gave the 300-plus Reading fans something to cheer.
After the match, The Biscuit was able to put a few questions to Leam, who said we won't see his first-choice starting XI until the Bromley match in the EFL Cup; the expectations he has on the squad to be ready for the Bromley game, no matter the opposition in pre-season; and exactly why new assistant coach John Coleman is "like 10 feet of snow."
